①
Power has become the binding constraint

Local opposition blocked $68 billion in data center projects in Q2 alone, forcing Nvidia to invest $4.5 billion in renewable energy to secure power supply. Marvell's 2nm optical chips explicitly address the "power wall." Huawei's 15,488-chip Atlas clusters use optical networking to manage heat. Saudi Arabia is building a 250MW AI facility for $2.33 billion. Infrastructure—not capital—is now the limiter.

②
Custom silicon is displacing Nvidia as the standard

Anthropic is becoming Broadcom's largest custom chip customer for inference scaling. Crusoe raised $3.9B for vertically-integrated AI infrastructure. Huawei shelved global sales (domestic demand outstrips supply) and instead operates 15,488-chip Atlas clusters at 120 EFLOPS. Nscale seeks a $35 billion IPO for GPU cloud. The buildout is shifting from buying Nvidia to building proprietary stacks.

③
Supply will outlast capital availability

HBM is sold out through 2027 even as Samsung ramps to 250K wafers in 2027 (80% HBM4). Nvidia could double 2027 sales if suppliers kept pace—they cannot. Marvell's 2nm optical interconnects (3.2Tbps) race to solve the data center link bottleneck. OpenAI's $856 billion compute budget and SoftBank's $11 billion bond raise cannot accelerate silicon supply. Capital flows; silicon does not.
