**Nvidia And Meta Deepen AI Partnership With $3 Billion Investment**
Nvidia and Meta announced an expanded partnership on October 27, strengthening their collaboration on AI models, computing infrastructure and the development of AI agents.
Under the agreement, Nvidia will invest $3 billion in a Meta equity offering. The companies will also expand their work on Meta's Muse family of AI models, focusing on improvements to training and inference performance.
Meta also intends to expand its deployment of Nvidia computing infrastructure, including Vera Rubin systems and Vera CPUs. The companies will use Nvidia's Spectrum-X networking and BlueField-4 technologies to improve network efficiency and support demanding AI workloads.
The partnership also includes discussions around Nvidia's OpenShell reference architecture for secure AI-agent deployment, and Nvidia Sentry for monitoring agent behavior and processing different types of data.
**Federal Reserve Rate Decision In Focus**
Investors are also watching the Federal Reserve's October 27-28 policy meeting, with the central bank's decision scheduled for Wednesday, October 28.
Economists and market participants widely expect the Fed to leave its benchmark federal funds rate unchanged at 3.75%-4%, following its September rate increase. However, persistent inflation has complicated the outlook for monetary policy. US consumer prices rose 3.7% year-on-year in September, while core inflation, which excludes food and energy, increased 2.6%. Both readings remain relevant to the Fed's efforts to bring inflation toward its 2% target.
