To be a shareholder in Flex today, you generally need to believe in its role as a manufacturing and infrastructure partner to the AI and data center ecosystem, while accepting thin margins and customer concentration as ongoing risks.

The most relevant recent announcement is Flex's raised full-year 2027 net sales outlook to $33.70 billion to $35.20 billion, delivered on the back of strong first-quarter results. That guidance upgrade aligns with management's comments about accelerating AI and digital infrastructure demand, suggesting the AI-related opportunities underpinning the current investment thesis are already influencing near-term expectations. However, the planned cloud and power infrastructure spin-off will reshape how investors later assess growth and risk.

Against this stronger AI narrative, investors should recognize that concentrated hyperscaler demand could quickly change if large customers choose to bring power and cooling work in-house or slow their infrastructure spending.

Flex's baseline narrative projects $49.7 billion in revenue and $3.3 billion in earnings by 2029. This requires 21.2% yearly revenue growth and approximately a $2.4 billion earnings increase from the current $880 million. Based on this projection, the company yields a fair value estimate of $160.40, representing 41% upside to current prices.

Some of the most optimistic analysts already assumed Flex could reach about $53.6 billion in revenue and $3.8 billion in earnings by 2029. Compared with baseline concerns about thin margins and hyperscaler dependence, this higher bar reflects a substantially more bullish view that may warrant reassessment given the new AI-focused momentum and updated guidance.

Flex is a provider of technology innovation, supply chain, and manufacturing solutions to the data center, communications, enterprise, consumer, automotive, healthcare, industrial, and power industries across the Americas, Asia, and Europe.
