NVIDIA announced financial results for the second quarter ended July 26, 2026, reporting revenue of $96.2 billion, which represents an 18 percent increase from the prior quarter and a 106 percent rise compared to the same period last year. Both GAAP and non-GAAP gross margins stood at 75.0 percent, while GAAP and non-GAAP earnings per diluted share were $2.46 and $2.22, respectively. Founder and CEO Jensen Huang stated, AI has reached its inflection point. It’s doing useful work. Its tokens are productive and profitable. Now, compute is revenue. He added that demand is accelerating, noting a shift from a single lab driving infrastructure growth last year to a golden age of new AI labs, startups, parallel scaling frontier labs, a thriving open-model ecosystem, and emerging physical AI with strong global momentum. Huang emphasized that the AI infrastructure buildout is at full steam and that Vera Rubin, now in full production, was designed to power this exact moment.

During the quarter, NVIDIA returned approximately $26.0 billion to shareholders through stock repurchases and cash dividends, leaving about $99.0 billion remaining under its current share repurchase authorization. The company will pay a quarterly cash dividend of $0.25 per share on October 1, 2026, to shareholders of record as of September 10, 2026. Looking ahead, NVIDIA expects its full-year fiscal 2027 GAAP and non-GAAP tax rates to fall between 16.0 percent and 18.0 percent, excluding discrete items and material changes to the tax environment.

Management commentary from Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Colette Kress is available at https://investor.nvidia.com. NVIDIA will host a live webcast conference call with analysts and investors today at 2 p.m. Pacific time and 5 p.m. Eastern time to discuss the quarterly results and financial outlook. The recording will remain accessible until the next quarterly earnings call. To supplement GAAP financial statements, NVIDIA continues to report non-GAAP measures, including gross profit, operating income, net income, diluted earnings per share, and free cash flow. Beginning in the first quarter of fiscal 2027, these non-GAAP metrics include stock-based compensation expense and exclude acquisition-related costs, equity securities gains and losses, certain other income and expenses, and their associated tax impacts. Free cash flow is defined as GAAP net cash from operating activities minus capital expenditures and principal payments on property and equipment and intangible assets. NVIDIA cautions that forward-looking statements regarding AI factory construction, product performance, supply chain dynamics, partnerships, investments, financing, technology trends, dividends, and market growth are subject to risks and uncertainties that could cause actual results to differ materially from expectations. These risks include economic and political conditions, manufacturing dependencies, technological competition, product defects, consumer preference shifts, regulatory changes, and other factors detailed in the company recent SEC filings.
