Oracle reported strong first-quarter fiscal 2027 earnings, with non-GAAP earnings per share of $1.92—up 30% year-over-year—beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 10.3%. Total quarterly revenues reached $19.3 billion, up 30%, exceeding the consensus mark by 1.11% and reflecting extraordinary demand for Oracle's cloud infrastructure and applications from AI-focused enterprises.

Cloud revenue surged 62% to $11.6 billion, now representing 60% of total quarterly revenue. Cloud Infrastructure (IaaS) accelerated sharply, growing 121% to $7.4 billion—a notable jump from the prior quarter's 93% growth rate—while Cloud Applications (SaaS) grew 10% to $4.2 billion. Software revenues declined 3% to $5.5 billion as customers migrated to the cloud, though Services revenues rose 5% to $1.4 billion and Hardware revenues increased 15% to $800 million.

Oracle's Remaining Performance Obligations climbed to $664 billion, up $209 billion year-over-year, with the company booking more than $30 billion in additional AI cloud contracts during the quarter. Most represented large-scale infrastructure deals with prepaid capacity—a substantial backlog providing exceptional visibility into future revenue growth.

Operating metrics accelerated across the board. GAAP operating income reached $6.7 billion, up 57%, while non-GAAP operating income rose 31% to $8.2 billion. GAAP net income available to common shareholders grew 60% to $4.7 billion, and non-GAAP net income climbed 34% to $5.8 billion. GAAP earnings per share hit $1.56, up 55%.

Operating cash flow surged 184% to a record $23 billion, though free cash flow was negative $5.4 billion as Oracle pursued aggressive capital investment. The company completed a $20 billion at-the-market equity issuance and spent $28.5 billion on capital expenditures, primarily for data center infrastructure expansion. For fiscal 2027, Oracle expects capital expenditures between $90 and $95 billion. Total debt stood at $125.3 billion as of August 31, 2026, with the board declaring a quarterly dividend of 50 cents per share.

Oracle guided second-quarter fiscal 2027 total revenue growth of 30% to 34%, with cloud revenue growth expected between 64% and 70%. For the full year, the company raised revenue guidance to at least $90 billion and raised non-GAAP earnings per share guidance to $8.10, reflecting sustained confidence in continued cloud momentum.
