Anthropic은 NVIDIA의 지원을 받는 AI 클라우드 제공업체 람다와 Claude 인프라를 대폭 확장하기 위해 350억 달러 규모의 클라우드 컴퓨팅 계약을 체결했다.
Anthropic has entered into a $35 billion cloud computing agreement with Lambda, an Nvidia-backed cloud provider. According to Reuters, which cited an anonymous source, the facility is under construction in Nueces County, Texas, and will deliver roughly 350 megawatts of capacity. Hut 8, a former cryptocurrency mining company, is developing the site, while Nvidia itself holds the lease for the data center, the Wall Street Journal reports.
The agreement forms part of Anthropic’s massive infrastructure push ahead of its planned IPO. Just last week, the company announced a $45 billion contract with Nscale for a data center in West Virginia. This added capacity is intended to keep pace with growing demand for its AI model, Claude, and its coding tool, Claude Code.
Hut 8 had previously announced a 15-year lease with an unnamed client in July. None of the companies involved commented on the deal to Reuters.
