STL이 자사의 Intermittently Bonded Ribbon 사전 종료 케이블 어셈블리에 대한 NFPA 262 플레넘 인증을 발표했으며,
STL, a leading connectivity solutions provider for AI-ready digital infrastructure, today announced that its 48 to 576-fiber Intermittently Bonded Ribbon pre-terminated assembly portfolio has achieved Optical Fiber Nonconductive Plenum certification under NFPA 262. These factory-built cable assemblies feature connectors that are installed, polished, and tested at the factory, eliminating the need for field splicing and specialized equipment while reducing installation time and costs.
The plenum-certified cable portfolio is designed specifically for indoor applications within hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data center containment zones. By optimizing cable routing through tight duct spaces, the assemblies allow operators to expand bandwidth capacity while maintaining full safety compliance in restricted environments.
According to Dr. Badri Gomatam, Chief Technology Officer of STL's Optical Networking Business, "As AI workloads push the boundaries of data center design, the physical layer must evolve to meet unprecedented density and safety demands. Achieving this plenum certification for our indoor IBR cable family is a testament to STL's engineering excellence and our commitment to being the partner of choice for the world's largest hyperscalers. We are proud to deliver solutions that not only power the AI revolution but do so with the highest standards of safety and reliability."
STL is a global leader in advanced connectivity solutions, providing end-to-end infrastructure solutions for AI-ready networks, fiber-to-the-home, rural broadband, enterprise, and data center deployments across more than 100 countries with manufacturing facilities in North America, Europe, and Asia.
