Data centres are the West's latest $14 billion attraction, second only to the airport. However, residents need additional infrastructure to benefit from the employment opportunities these data centres create.

Bradfield has opened expressions of interest for its corporate park, which is attracting interest from defence, aerospace, and manufacturing companies.

When the NSW Investment Delivery Agency decided to support 15 data centre projects valued at $52 billion, two-thirds of these proposed digital growth engines' sites are located in Western Sydney.

However, the data centre boom supporting Australia's growth is merely the latest wave of investment flowing into this vast region, which houses nearly one-third of NSW's population.
