NVIDIA GeForce NOW is expanding its cloud gaming platform with new DLSS 4.5 tuning controls, broader device and browser

NVIDIA’s Gamescom announcements highlight significant upgrades to GeForce NOW, focusing on enhanced gameplay customization, expanded platform support, and a strong lineup of upcoming titles. Ultimate members will gain access to new DLSS 4.5 technology controls that allow precise adjustments to image quality and performance. These controls include DLSS Super Resolution for sharper visuals, Dynamic Frame Generation for reduced latency and smoother streaming, and Ray Reconstruction for improved ray-traced graphics. This gives players flexibility to optimize supported games without needing the latest hardware.

Platform accessibility continues to broaden with several new integrations. Later this fall, GeForce NOW will add community-requested support for Steam Machines paired with Steam Controllers, extending existing Steam Deck compatibility to Windows and macOS. GOG users can now link their accounts via single sign-on, automatically syncing and launching supported titles with one click. Browser gaming expands with official Firefox support across all major Windows browsers, allowing Ultimate members to stream at up to 1440p and 120 frames per second directly from play.geforcenow.com without downloading an app. Additionally, support is expanding to more Amazon Fire TV devices, including the Fire TV Stick 4K Select, with plans to enable direct membership purchases through Amazon later this year.

A blockbuster selection of PC games is arriving on GeForce NOW at launch. Five highly anticipated titles are confirmed: CONTROL Resonant, Gears of War: E-Day, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, The Blood of Dawnwalker, and STAR WARS Zero Company. For a limited time between Tuesday, Aug. 25, and Sunday, Sept. 27, purchasing a 12-month GeForce NOW Ultimate membership includes CONTROL Resonant at no extra cost. Ultimate members will stream these titles with RTX 5080-class cloud performance, featuring NVIDIA DLSS 4, ray tracing, NVIDIA Reflex, Cinematic Quality Streaming, and up to 5K high dynamic range on compatible devices. The service also adds thirteen new games to its library this week, starting with Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2, where players assemble a four-player fireteam of Colonial Marines to battle swarms of Xenomorphs.

To celebrate Gamescom, GeForce NOW is hosting a community giveaway offering over forty prizes.
