importance 70CXMT Corporation announced that its fifth-generation DRAM platform entered mass production on September 20, 2026. The company presented the platform at the 2026 World Manufacturing Convention in Hefei.
The new platform reduces the spacing of key data-storage structures to 11.95 nanometers through quadruple patterning. CXMT said the platform can produce at least 50% more gross chip dies per wafer than its fourth-generation platform, based on an 8-gigabit chip baseline.
As part of the launch, CXMT unveiled two 24-gigabit LPDDR5X products manufactured on the new platform. Each product holds 50% more data than its previous comparable products and is already in mass production for smartphones and other portable electronics.
