Anthropic은 지난 11개월 동안 517억 달러 규모의 컴퓨팅 계약을 체결했으며, 이는 14.8GW의 컴퓨팅 용량에 해당합니다.
AI lab Anthropic has signed approximately $517 billion in compute capacity leases over the past 11 months. According to The Information, which compiled public announcements alongside its own reporting, the company has committed to 14.8 gigawatts (GW) of compute capacity since October last year, with access scheduled over the coming years. An unnamed source indicated that Anthropic had already secured between 1 GW and 2 GW of capacity prior to that period.
The rapid scaling of Anthropic’s compute infrastructure has been widely documented. At the end of August, the company reportedly finalized a $45 billion compute agreement with Nscale. Earlier, it disclosed more than a dozen letters of intent for data center leases with multiple U.S. developers, a 191-megawatt (MW) agreement with Riot Platforms for a Texas data center, and a $200 billion arrangement with Google for Tensor Processing Units (TPUs) that Anthropic can deploy independently.
Beyond dedicated data center leases, Anthropic has heavily leveraged cloud providers. Its portfolio includes substantial capacity agreements with Akamai, Amazon Web Services (AWS)—featuring a large cluster of AWS’s custom Trainium hardware—CoreWeave, and a $50 billion partnership with AI cloud firm Fluidstack. Additional agreements have been executed with SpaceX/xAI, Google Cloud, Lambda, Volta Infra, AMD, and Microsoft.
Previously, Anthropic told investors it anticipated spending roughly $180 billion on server rentals through 2029. That projection has clearly accelerated, with The Information’s analysis totaling $517 billion and noting that additional undisclosed deals may exist. DCD has reached out to Anthropic for comment. Of the contracted capacity, Google and AWS will serve as the largest providers, together contributing 11 GW.
In corporate developments, Anthropic confidentially filed for an initial public offering (IPO) with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in June. The filing contained minimal details, and the company has not provided further updates.
