OVHcloud는 연간 실적 발표 컨퍼런스 콜에서 고객 기반 확대를 위해 110MW의 데이터센터 용량을 확보하고 있다고 밝혔다.
OVHcloud has 250MW of data center capacity in total, according to chairman and CEO Octave Klaba. Speaking during the company's annual earnings call, Klaba said 140MW of that capacity is operational, leaving the remaining 110MW available. "That is what we will use to accelerate our growth," he said.
Capex for OVH in fiscal year 2026 was €422 million ($474.35 million). That figure includes €49.5 million ($55.64 million) of capex prefinanced for 2027. Excluding that amount, capex for 2026 deployment was €372.9 million ($419.16 million), or 32.6 percent of revenue. This compares with €361.4 million ($406.23 million) in 2025, an increase of just 3.2 percent.
This is a far more conservative approach to data center and AI buildout than that of many other cloud providers, both hyperscale and neocloud. Klaba acknowledged this and described 2026 as "a year of discipline." He said: "We managed our inventory and capex very closely while keeping operating costs under control."
According to interim CFO Julien Rabette, hardware costs in 2026 totaled €242 million ($272 million), or 21 percent of revenue, broadly stable compared with the prior year. Rabette explained: "Two effects offset each other. First, a volume tailwind: we assembled fewer servers. Second, a price headwind: each server costing more because of component inflation. The strict capex discipline was possible thanks to our integrated model, maximizing existing assets and the front-loading of the capex."
OVH has so far appeared more hesitant about large-scale AI deployment. Klaba said this was partly because: "We didn't think that there was a lot of demand for GPUs three or four years ago. We saw competitors that invested in GPUs, and they didn't sell them in Europe, so I was a little bit cautious about the use of capex."
He added that he now believes the demand is there, but that he wanted proof. He also pointed to hardware performance: "The second is that the old GPUs, the H100s, didn't have a lot of performance. When you have this new generation of GPUs, B300 and R200, we are talking about something different, really, a magnitude of performance more. That makes sense for the customers, and we saw that it makes sense for us, for inference, for training. Because of the reduction in cost and the [increase in] productivity of the capex, it's huge. You reduce more than 20 times the cost of the same performance over just three or four years."
Klaba declined to provide guidance on 2027 capex, saying it remains too variable. Customer demand could push spending up, while component pricing could lead the company to take a more cautious approach.
On 2027 more broadly, Klaba said the company has "a very good relationship with our suppliers on the RAM, hard disk, but also CPUs, GPUs, et cetera. We have continuity of the supply chain. We do not have issues delivering our growth in FY 2027." He also said OVH has raised prices in a "moderated way and mutualized way" and will do so again in the coming months, though he did not disclose specific figures.
Revenue for 2026 was €1.145 billion ($1.29 billion), up 5.6 percent year-on-year from €1.08 billion ($1.22 billion). EBITDA was €480.5 million ($539.54 million), up from €437.8 million ($492.11 million), and up 1.6 percentage points year-on-year. Gross margin was 67.3 percent.
The company has restructured its reporting segments into digital starters, digital scalers, and corporates. Corporates are now the largest customer group. Digital starters accounted for 49 percent of revenue, scalers for 31 percent, and corporates for 19 percent.
By product, private cloud remains OVH's largest revenue driver, generating €690.4 million ($776.04 million) for the year, or 60.3 percent of revenue.
OVH operates more than 40 core data centers, either in operation or under construction, in France, Canada, the US, Australia, Germany, Poland, Singapore, India, Italy, and the UK. These sites are a mix of self-built and leased facilities. The company has also deployed more than a dozen Local Zone Edge locations at third-party facilities worldwide.
