SpaceX will deploy five giant AI data centers by end of 2026, achieving serial manufacturing throughput of 450 MW per month across its data center fabrication process.

SpaceX's planned deployment of five campuses by end-2026 with 450 MW/month production rate establishes it as a major new compute provider competing with OpenAI and hyperscalers.

SpaceX is building five giant AI data centers expected to be completed by the end of 2026. The company is mass-producing 450 MW AI data centers with a four-month build cycle from start to finish, including chip installation. SpaceX is working on four facilities simultaneously to complete one center per month—a pace it plans to maintain through 2027 before switching to Rubin chips.

Colossus 1 comprises 150,000 H100 chips, 50,000 H200 chips, and 30,000 GB200 chips. Colossus 2 contains 110,000 GB200 chips and 440,000 GB300 chips. An additional 220,000 GB300 chips will become fully operational next week, another 220,000 in November, and potentially a fourth facility with another 220,000 GB300 chips by late December. As of late September 2026, SpaceX has 2.5 gigawatts of power installed across these data centers.

The Colossus 1 facility's 230,000 total chips command approximately $7 billion in annual rental revenue. The combined 1.21 million chips primarily composed of GB300 units across Colossus 2, the next two facilities, and a fourth unnamed building represent substantially greater capacity. SpaceX is projected to generate an additional $11–25 billion in annual recurring revenue by year-end. The company could add $25 billion per month in direct AI monetization or leasing revenue through 2027, putting it on track for $130–140 billion in annual recurring revenue by the end of 2026 and potentially $500 billion by the end of 2027 at current acceleration rates.

In early September 2026, Southaven, Mississippi approved a fifth data center—a 660,000-square-foot facility on a former 51-acre city police and fire training site on Tulane Road (near 8425 Tulane Road), adjacent to SpaceX's existing power plant on Stanton Road. Elon Musk stated that this facility will be completed within four months, with power systems and chips fully installed, even before an official facility name is assigned.

The build cadence represents a significant acceleration in AI infrastructure deployment. The last three months of 2026 will see the activation of 500 megawatts of additional chip capacity monthly. The effective throughput is approximately 450 megawatts due to efficiency gains from denser data center architecture. A single facility housing 220,000 GB300 chips for 450 megawatts can generate $25 billion in annual rental revenue.
