Hyperscale Data has permanently powered down all Bitcoin mining operations at its Michigan data center, effective September 1. Management confirmed the operational shift as the company redirects its infrastructure toward a $1.2 billion artificial intelligence contract in the state. To finance the Michigan AI campus, Hyperscale Data sold 100 BTC and secured Bitcoin-backed financing at variable interest rates between 4.5% and 5.0%. The agreement covers. On July 12, the company announced that its accumulated Bitcoin reserves reached 1,032.49 units, bringing its corporate treasury to $65.8 million. Hyperscale Data, Inc. (NYSE American: GPUS) continues to leverage these digital asset holdings to fuel its infrastructure expansion.

Concurrently, Michigan’s regulatory stance on digital markets remains under legal scrutiny. Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel issued a preliminary injunction requiring Kalshi to prevent Michigan residents and anyone physically inside the state from accessing its sports-event. Failure to comply could result in fines of $500,000 per day. In response, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) officially intervened, stating that states cannot force Kalshi to void existing prediction market trades. The federal regulator instructed the platform to honor event contracts already executed by Michigan residents. A Michigan judicial review continues to evaluate the jurisdictional boundaries of the injunction.

These corporate and regulatory developments coincide with notable shifts in state politics. Following major funding from the cryptocurrency industry, pro-crypto candidates have won primaries in both Michigan and Washington. Associated Press election results show that Republican Representative Bill Huizenga won his Michigan primary. In Washington, incumbents Suzan DelBene, Kim Schrier, and Marilyn Strickland advanced alongside other candidates, reflecting a growing political alignment with digital asset initiatives.
