EUCLYD raises over €200 million in Series A funding for AI infrastructure.
EUCLYD, an Eindhoven-based AI infrastructure company, has secured a Series A financing round of over €200 million to develop silicon and systems for foundation AI models. The funding will support the company's silicon and systems roadmap and preparations for commercial deployment.
The round was co-led by Samsung, Somerset Capital Partners, the EQT-managed Scaleup Europe Fund, and Innovation Industries, with participation from EIFO, imec.xpand, the Brabant Development Agency, and Quadri. Peter Wennink, former president and CEO of ASML, has joined the board as chairman.
EUCLYD is developing a platform combining programmable chip technology, memory architecture, and data center systems. The company's roadmap includes craftwerk, described as agentic AI silicon, and craftwerk station CWS, a proposed low-power AI factory. The core mission is to reduce the power and cost required to run AI models, particularly for inference.
The financing will enable EUCLYD to expand its engineering team, advance silicon and systems development, strengthen partnerships, and begin serving enterprise, sovereign, and hyperscale AI customers. The company was founded by Bernardo Kastrup and Atul Sinha at High Tech Campus Eindhoven.
"AI is becoming a foundation of economic growth, scientific discovery, and national competitiveness, but its potential will remain constrained unless we fundamentally change the infrastructure beneath it," said Kastrup, CEO and founder. "This financing accelerates our mission to make intelligence abundant through greater efficiency, lower cost per token, and broader access to advanced AI."
Dede Goldschmidt, Senior Vice President of Samsung Electronics and Head of the Samsung Semiconductor Innovation Center, said the next phase of AI will be defined by infrastructure efficiency and scalability. "EUCLYD combines an accomplished team with a differentiated vision addressing constraints in AI datacenters."
Ted Persson, Partner at EQT and Co-Head of the Scaleup Europe Fund, added: "EUCLYD combines deep semiconductor expertise with a mission to tackle some of the hardest constraints in AI infrastructure. That mix of European engineering depth and global ambition is what we're here to back."
"EUCLYD can transform those strengths into a globally competitive AI infrastructure platform," said Wennink.
