NVIDIA and MediaTek announced an expansion of their longstanding collaboration on August 31, 2026, aimed at developing next-generation AI computing platforms across AI infrastructure, local AI computing, and automotive sectors. As part of this expanded partnership, NVIDIA has invested $3.5 billion in convertible bonds issued by MediaTek. The companies will combine NVIDIA’s accelerated computing, AI, graphics, and software platforms with MediaTek’s expertise in custom silicon, high-performance computing, power-efficient system-on-chip design, advanced packaging, and connectivity.

The collaboration focuses on three major areas. For AI infrastructure, MediaTek will offer the NVLink Fusion platform as a design foundation for customers developing custom AI accelerators. This prebuilt, prequalified, and system-prevalidated framework enables multi-die XPU development and allows partners to seamlessly connect custom chips to NVIDIA’s AI infrastructure using proven scale-up and scale-out technology stacks, including the NVIDIA MGX rack-scale architecture. For local AI computing, the companies are advancing generative and agentic AI capabilities by combining NVIDIA’s accelerated computing with MediaTek’s power-efficient SoC design. Their existing work on the GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip powers the NVIDIA DGX Spark, and they are extending this partnership with NVIDIA RTX Spark to redefine next-generation consumer PCs. In the automotive sector, MediaTek Dimensity Auto platforms will integrate NVIDIA technologies to deliver advanced AI and NVIDIA RTX graphics for intelligent vehicle cockpits, operating alongside NVIDIA DRIVE AGX to create scalable architectures for increasingly intelligent, software-defined vehicles.
