Munters, a global leader in climate optimization technologies, this week opened its expanded campus for data center cooling in Daleville, Virginia. The facility now covers 565,000 square feet with approximately 600 employees and represents the largest of five dedicated manufacturing facilities within Munters Data Center Technologies business globally.

The campus produces the full range of Munters data center cooling portfolio, including air side economizers, the patented SyCool Split, CRAHs (computer room air handling units), fan coil arrays, CDUs (coolant distribution units), and chillers. The expansion adds the Munters Service Academy, new production test stands, and a chiller laboratory featuring an advanced environmental chamber.

Stefan Aspman, President of Munters Data Center Technologies, stated: "The rapid growth of AI and high-performance computing is creating new demands not only for digital infrastructure, but also for the energy, water and physical infrastructure that supports it. With these new capabilities we are well positioned to deliver on our ambitious growth agenda while meeting the needs of customers and communities."

A key outcome of the expansion is the launch of local chiller manufacturing in Daleville, moving production from Italy. This includes the Circlemiser chiller, which uses innovative design elements including cylindrical condensing coils to significantly reduce energy consumption and total power requirements compared to typical air-cooled chillers.

Frank Pellegrino, SVP Sales & Strategy for DCT and incoming President of the business area, noted: "Having the right manufacturing setup is only part of the equation.
