Last week's funding market continued to be dominated by investment in AI, robotics, and computing infrastructure.

Competition among leading model companies remains intense. Amazon disclosed that it has completed its full $50 billion investment in OpenAI. In the second quarter alone, Amazon invested $13.7 billion in OpenAI and $11.3 billion in Anthropic. Meanwhile, Moonshot AI raised $3.5 billion in its latest funding round, exceeding expectations and reaching a valuation of $35 billion.

In the primary market, AI companies secured significant funding across multiple sectors. User simulation company Simile completed a $200 million Series B round at a $2 billion valuation, while voice AI company Fish Audio secured a $50 million seed round. The robotics sector continued to attract substantial capital, with funding flowing toward general-purpose robot platforms, training data, and real-world deployment capabilities. RoboStrategy led a $200 million Series C round for Standard Bots, while Enigma completed a $71 million seed round and Quantum Dynamics raised over 100 million yuan.

AI expansion is also accelerating in supporting sectors such as energy and security. Nuclear company Antares Nuclear completed a $470 million funding round co-led by Paradigm and Caffeinated Capital, and bot detection company Spur Intelligence closed a $200 million funding round led by Insight Partners.

In contrast, crypto industry funding continued to shrink, with capital concentrating on security, trading execution, and AI-integrated infrastructure. According to incomplete statistics from PANews, there were 6 blockchain funding events globally for the week of July 27–August 2, totaling $41.5 million.

**AI agent security tool V12 completes $10 million seed round**

V12 announced completion of a $10 million seed round led by Electric Capital, with participation from ZachXBT, samczsun, Walden Yan, and others. The team previously discovered a major vulnerability in a leading blockchain involving over $100 million at risk, earning a $2.5 million bug bounty—the largest single bounty ever awarded to an AI agent.

V12 aims to build a "cyber nuclear weapon"—an AI system capable of identifying all vulnerabilities in a system, focusing on white-box code audits rather than black-box penetration testing. The company believes bug bounty programs will become obsolete in the AI era and that the only viable solution is to eliminate vulnerabilities before code deployment. The crypto industry is a key application scenario. The team previously founded blockchain security firm Zellic, which has completed over 1,500 security audits and participated in multiple vulnerability research projects.

**Web3 platform Beezie completes $4 million funding**

Beezie announced the completion of $4 million in funding, with participation from Psalion via its early-stage fund Psalion VC Fund III. The platform generates on-chain digital twins for physical goods, making them programmable, tradable, and composable across different scenarios, transforming physical asset trading into interactive consumer experiences through gamification. The new capital will fund global market expansion.

**On-chain infrastructure company Birdai Labs raises $4 million**

Birdai Labs announced completion of a $4 million seed round led by Castle Island Ventures, with participation from Metalayer Ventures and The Venture Dept. The company provides measurement, verification, and optimization infrastructure for trade execution on high-performance public blockchains, aiming to reduce value leakage between order submission and execution caused by sequencing and propagation delays, thereby returning more value to traders and market makers. The team draws from traditional financial institutions including Franklin Templeton and Citadel and is expanding its senior engineering and quantitative research teams to compete in on-chain execution under multi-proposer architectures and provide verifiable, fair, and transparent execution standards for institutional participation in digital asset markets.

**Physical AI company Axis Robotics completes $12 million seed round**

Axis Robotics announced completion of a $12 million seed round led by Hack VC, with participation from Nomad Capital, Pi Network Ventures, 10K Ventures, and others. The company is building a large-scale global data engine using a "human-in-the-loop" approach to address robot training data scarcity, generalization difficulties, and hardware adaptation challenges. Its platform encompasses task generation, simulated remote teleoperation, ego data capture via mobile devices, and automated cleaning and annotation pipelines. Axis currently has over 100,000 active data contributors, generating approximately 1,200 hours of simulated data and 20,000 hours of real-world scenario data monthly. The company has established commercial partnerships with multiple hardware and industrial clients, including Booster Robotics and Geely Auto.

**Perceptron Network raises $6.5 million**

The funds will support the launch of a data exploration platform. Long-term, Perceptron aims to build a fully integrated network with 5 million nodes, consolidating everything AI companies need on a single platform and achieving supply-demand balance.

**ALPHEA secures $5 million for distributed AI infrastructure**

**Metaplanet acquires Siiibo Securities to build Bitcoin fixed-income market**

Japanese publicly listed company Metaplanet has acquired Siiibo Securities, which holds a license for Type I financial instruments business, gaining approval to design and sell securities in Japan. While research firm Benchmark characterized the roughly ¥2.1 billion (approximately $13 million) acquisition as a small-scale expansion, Metaplanet actually plans to use it as a foundation to issue Bitcoin-backed bonds—"Bitbonds"—with an annualized yield of approximately 4–6%, subsequently migrate them on-chain, and settle via stablecoins to gradually form a secondary market. Metaplanet's goal is to enable companies pursuing a Bitcoin balance sheet strategy to issue debt on its platform and purchase BTC. Under its "Project Nova" roadmap, the company plans to build a new type of Bitcoin-centric financial institution.
