Connectbase and InterGlobix announced on June 16, 2026 that Dr. Sanjay Basu, Senior Director of GPU and Gen AI Solutions and Services at Oracle, will speak at TCW LIVE! as part of a featured panel exploring how the digital infrastructure industry is adapting to meet accelerating AI demand. Dr. Basu brings over thirty years of technology experience and currently leads the GPU and Generative AI Solutions and Services Cloud Engineering teams at Oracle. He holds a doctorate in organizational behavior and double master's degrees in management and computer engineering, and is pursuing a second PhD in AI and Quantum AI Agents. He serves as a life member of ACM, AAAI, AAAS, and IEEE, and as a fellow of IETE, and has authored technical books and holds six US patents.
Dr. Basu will participate in the panel titled "The New Digital Infrastructure Arms Race for AI Compute: Data Center Providers, Hyperscalers, and Neocloud Providers" on Wednesday, September 9, 2026. The discussion will examine how unprecedented demand for AI compute is driving historic infrastructure investment and reshaping competitive dynamics across the ecosystem. As organizations deploy AI workloads at scale, critical factors including power availability, site selection, cooling technologies, fiber connectivity, and speed to market have become strategic priorities. The panel will explore how hyperscalers, neocloud providers, connectivity providers, and data center operators are adapting their business models and forming new partnerships to meet the requirements of an AI-first world.
Dr. Basu stated, "The rapid acceleration of AI adoption is driving one of the most significant infrastructure investment cycles our industry has ever witnessed. Organizations are rethinking how they deploy compute, access data, and build resilient digital ecosystems. The conversation around AI infrastructure extends far beyond GPUs and data centers—it encompasses connectivity, cloud architectures, operational efficiency, and the partnerships required to support next-generation workloads. TCW LIVE! presents an excellent opportunity to explore these developments with leaders from across the ecosystem."
Jasmine Bedi, CEO and Co-Founder of InterGlobix, noted that the emergence of AI as a primary driver of infrastructure investment is creating new opportunities and challenges for multiple sectors, and that Dr. Basu's participation will provide attendees with valuable insights into evolving infrastructure strategies. Ben Edmond, CEO and Founder of Connectbase, added that AI is accelerating decisions about where and how infrastructure gets built, with access to power, connectivity, and speed-to-market becoming critical competitive differentiators.
The session will be moderated by Vinay Nagpal, CEO of IG Group, a strategic advisory and consulting firm focused on digital infrastructure. Nagpal is a recognized industry leader with over three decades of experience and expertise in bringing together diverse perspectives from data centers, connectivity, cloud, subsea networks, and emerging digital infrastructure sectors. TCW LIVE! convenes leaders from the connectivity, cloud, and digital infrastructure ecosystem to explore technologies, partnerships, and market developments shaping the future of global connectivity, serving as a platform for industry executives, innovators, investors, and technology leaders to exchange ideas and gain insights into trends driving digital transformation.
