TripGain, an AI-powered enterprise Travel and Expense management platform, announced the launch of the TripGain MCP Server on August 4, 2026, unveiled at the GBTA Convention 2026. This new capability combines the open Model Context Protocol introduced by Anthropic in 2024 with TripGain's API Gateway to bring agentic AI to corporate travel and expense management.

The solution enables organizations to connect AI assistants directly to TripGain's platform, allowing employees to book business travel, file expenses, manage vendor expenses, and approve requests through natural conversation instead of navigating multiple applications and approval queues. Rather than retrieving information, the TripGain MCP Server is designed to execute enterprise workflows securely in the background according to enterprise policies and procedures.

The key innovation combines MCP, which provides a standardized interface for AI assistants, with TripGain's API Gateway, which handles supplier connectivity, inventory aggregation, booking workflows, policy enforcement, and expense processing. This unified execution layer enables organizations to access a connected travel ecosystem through a single interface without building individual integrations or maintaining custom APIs and compliance logic.

Sudheer Reddy, Founder and CEO of TripGain, stated, "Enterprise AI is moving beyond answering questions to completing real business work. With the TripGain MCP Server, organizations can extend their AI strategy into enterprise travel and expenses without rebuilding existing systems. Employees simply ask, AI takes action, and TripGain executes securely in the background."

The MCP Server is AI assistant agnostic, enabling organizations to integrate with any MCP-compatible AI system rather than being locked into a single ecosystem. The solution is remotely hosted by TripGain and operates through secure endpoint configuration and OAuth authentication without requiring additional infrastructure deployment.

TripGain serves more than 400 organizations and processes over one billion dollars in annual travel and expense transactions. The company is headquartered in Bengaluru, India.
