Z Squared raises $15.3 million Series A led by Lux Capital to scale sovereign AI infrastructure across critical infrastructure sectors.
Z Squared announced a $15.3 million capital raise through equity sales under its standby equity purchase agreement, incurring no new debt. The company continues to maintain virtually no corporate debt.
The financing provides growth capital for Z Squared's expansion into AI infrastructure, with proceeds earmarked for its acquisition and conversion strategy and general corporate purposes. The all-equity structure preserves the company's balance sheet and conserves cash for operational deployment as it executes on previously announced acquisition targets and its Phase 1 buildout.
This financing arrangement predates Z Squared's current AI infrastructure strategy. With this raise, the company has completed its use of this legacy equity financing vehicle, strengthening its balance sheet as it advances its AI infrastructure initiative.
Z Squared's strategy centers on acquiring energized infrastructure and converting it into AI-ready colocation capacity within months rather than years, targeting sites that can serve customers providing compute infrastructure and operating workloads to their specifications.
The company has signed binding letters of intent to acquire Skycore Digital, which operates approximately 24 MW of energized capacity with a defined path to 42 MW, and to acquire a majority stake in Paradox Data, anchored by the Union County Campus in El Dorado, Arkansas. Z Squared is also evaluating additional acquisition opportunities, though there is no guarantee such opportunities will be identified or completed on preferred terms.
Z Squared's Phase 1 objective is to reach 100 MW of AI-ready capacity across multiple U.S. sites. The company is a computing infrastructure business operating advanced computing equipment and expanding into AI infrastructure. It listed on the Nasdaq Global Market in April 2026.
