Microsoft is developing a new data center facility outside Atlanta, Georgia. The company has filed a Developments of Regional Impact application with the Georgia Department of Community Affairs for the ATL50 project. The site will be located at 5235 Stonewall Tell Road in Union City, a Fulton County community southwest of Atlanta.

Covering an 88-acre parcel west of Stonewall Tell Road and north of Koweta Road, the development will consist of two three-story buildings totaling 910,000 sq ft (84,540 sqm). The facility is scheduled to launch in 2032.

The project underscores Microsoft’s substantial operational footprint across Georgia, which currently includes sites in Fairburn, Douglasville, Palmetto, Rome, East Point, Tyrone, and other locations.

Separately, Microsoft is partnering with EdgeConneX on a Union City development at 4810 Stonewall Tell Road, situated on the north side of South Fulton Parkway. That project is expected to deliver 324MW across 2.1 million sq ft (195,096 sqm).
