CXMT Corporation, a Chinese memory chip manufacturer, enters mass production, expanding domestic DRAM and HBM capacity.
On September 20, 2026, CXMT Corporation announced that its fifth-generation technology platform, known as G5, had entered mass production. According to Reuters, the platform represents a significant advancement in the company's memory-chip capabilities.
The G5 platform reduces the spacing of key features in its memory array to 11.95 nanometers. More substantially, the platform can produce at least 50 percent more gross chip dies per wafer than CXMT's fourth-generation platform when using an 8-gigabit-chip baseline, Reuters reported.
CXMT simultaneously unveiled two new 24-gigabit LPDDR5X products manufactured on the G5 platform. The company stated that each product holds 50 percent more data than its previous equivalent products. Both are already in mass production, according to Reuters.
