Altera announced the Agilex 27, the first Agilex 2X platform to add 800GbE and 1.6TbE networking, with features such as LPDDR6 and 1.6TbE support coming in 2027.
Higher-speed Ethernet on FPGAs targets the interconnect bottleneck in AI networking, though most of these capabilities will not arrive until 2027.
