Data center power and cooling company Vertiv reported third-quarter 2026 results that beat Wall Street expectations and revealed that orders have doubled year over year. Its shares jumped about 14 percent, recovering most of an October decline amid broader uncertainty about the AI data center market. The stock remains below its May high but is up 35 percent so far this year.

In the third quarter, Vertiv reported net sales of $4.31 billion, up 61 percent year over year. The company raised its full-year 2026 net sales forecast to $14.45 billion–$14.85 billion, up from the previous range of $13.8 billion–$14.2 billion. Adjusted earnings per share rose 78 percent to $2.21.

Revenue in the Americas grew 75 percent to $3 billion. Asia Pacific sales rose 50 percent to $779.3 million, and EMEA grew 23 percent to $544.7 million.

"We are in the middle of the largest infrastructure buildout, and it's accelerating," said Giordano Albertazzi, Vertiv's CEO.

"The demands on data center infrastructure are evolving faster than ever, and Vertiv's role in that buildout keeps expanding. We're compressing new product development cycles from years to months. We're industrializing converged infrastructure at a scale that didn't exist before and strengthening competencies that are very hard to replicate. We are expanding capacity, improving productivity, and executing with rigor. The infrastructure we deliver performs at the highest levels of reliability."

This week, Vertiv also closed its acquisition of data center fluid management firm King Environmental Services (KES). The deal was announced in September.
