Menos AI, an artificial intelligence platform for institutional investors, has raised $5.1 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by returning investor Copper Sky Capital, with participation from Alpha Square Group. The startup said the fresh funding brings its total funding to more than $10 million. Jack Selby, managing director at Thiel Capital, led the investment for Copper Sky.

The latest round comes as Menos expands from its AI research agent Sonαr, launched in August 2025, into enterprise AI infrastructure for asset managers and hedge funds. Menos is building a private and traceable context layer that captures proprietary research, portfolio data, investment reasoning and workflows, turning fragmented institutional knowledge into a structured asset that can be reused by investment teams and AI agents.

The company said the platform is designed to help asset managers retain and build on investment judgment as AI models become increasingly commoditized. Its infrastructure can also support AI agents in automating research, reporting and operational tasks, allowing firms to expand investment and client-service capacity without a proportional increase in costs.

"Asset managers are paid for judgment and execution," said William Wu, co-founder and chief executive of Menos AI. "We are building the context layer that connects the two." Wu said the platform allows firms to turn investment reasoning into testable hypotheses while giving AI agents access to institutional expertise.

Selby said Copper Sky backed Menos early because its team understood how AI could reshape institutional investing. He said the latest investment reflected the firm's view that the context layer would become core infrastructure for the next generation of asset managers.

Menos said it is working with some of the world's largest asset managers and sophisticated hedge funds. The company's infrastructure connects proprietary knowledge, investment workflows and AI agents across research, portfolio management, and operations.
