Lancium partners with NVIDIA to develop gigawatt-scale AI factories, leveraging a 15GW pipeline of powered land.

Lancium has announced a strategic collaboration and investment from NVIDIA to accelerate the deployment of large-scale accelerated computing infrastructure across its data center portfolio. Backed by Blackstone Energy Transition Partners and Blackstone Multi-Asset Investing, the Blackstone portfolio company will integrate NVIDIA’s full-stack hardware and software architectures directly into its power-ready campus footprint.

The partnership positions Lancium’s campuses as strategic deployment hubs for NVIDIA’s accelerated computing, networking, and software stacks. Currently managing 4GW of leased capacity and a development pipeline exceeding 15GW of powered land, Lancium aims to deliver turnkey, high-density infrastructure for cloud service providers, AI-native developers, and enterprise teams grappling with severe grid interconnection and power availability constraints.

To maximize facility efficiency and compute density, Lancium will construct its campuses using NVIDIA DSX reference designs—the same architecture underpinning the 8 IT-GW PORTS-Pike campus NVIDIA unveiled alongside OpenAI and SB Energy. These designs prioritize improved performance per megawatt, reduced time to first token, and lower overall cost per token. A key component of the integration is NVIDIA DSX MaxLPS, enabling operators to provision up to 40% more GPUs within the same power budget. Lancium will also deploy NVIDIA DSX Flex architectures to dynamically modulate facility power consumption in response to grid conditions, strengthening its grid-responsive operating model while maintaining sustained workload availability.

“AI factories are the essential infrastructure of this new industrial era,” said Nico Caprez, vice president of global AI infrastructure growth at NVIDIA. “Together with Lancium, we’re enabling a new generation of gigawatt-scale, power-ready AI factories, enabling cloud partners, AI natives and AI infrastructure developers deploy the full NVIDIA computing stack faster, operate more efficiently and turn energy into intelligence at unprecedented scale.”

Blackstone framed the transaction within its broader portfolio strategy. “This partnership with NVIDIA is a strong testament to Lancium’s position at the epicenter of energy and AI infrastructure, two of Blackstone’s highest conviction investment themes,” said Bilal Khan, senior managing director at Blackstone.

Neither company disclosed the size of NVIDIA’s investment, and no deployment timelines or campus dates were provided.
