Cloverleaf has secured NVIDIA investment backing to advance its gigawatt-scale data center development across the United States.

NVIDIA has taken a minority stake in Cloverleaf Infrastructure, a company established in 2024 to accelerate the deployment of data centers across the United States. Focused on preparing sites for large-scale computing facilities throughout North America, Cloverleaf is currently advancing multiple projects in the multi-gigawatt range. As part of this partnership, both firms will apply NVIDIA’s DSX platform to handle the end-to-end planning of future data centers.

The DSX platform is designed to map out requirements for compute hardware, power supply, cooling systems, and broader infrastructure. This capability is critical, as securing adequate electricity has become a major bottleneck for new data centers. Cloverleaf intends to work closely with both customers and utility providers to build facilities that align with regional energy grids, local natural resources, and community priorities.

Once a data center is operational, NVIDIA’s DSX tools can also be employed to improve power consumption and equipment efficiency. The overarching objective is to squeeze more useful computation out of every megawatt, making better use of the energy that is available. Through this arrangement, Cloverleaf’s clients will gain access to NVIDIA’s full technology stack.

David Berry co-founded Cloverleaf and serves as its chief executive officer. Rising electricity demands from AI systems call for coordinated planning of site selection, grid connectivity, cooling, computing capacity, and building design from the outset. The new collaboration between NVIDIA and Cloverleaf Infrastructure is aimed at tackling these challenges head-on, supporting the growth of computing infrastructure in the US.

This investment underscores the surging need for robust data centers as artificial intelligence and compute workloads expand. By partnering with Cloverleaf, NVIDIA may help accelerate project delivery in the computing infrastructure space, potentially leading to more efficient energy use across the country. This move also highlights how major technology companies are increasingly engaging with infrastructure developers to secure capacity for AI-era demands.
