Due to HBM4e delays and sustained 2027 DRAM shortage, Nvidia is downgrading Rubin Ultra HBM specifications from HBM4e 12hi to evaluation of HBM4e 8hi, HBM4 12hi, and HBM4 8hi alternatives. Cloud service providers are similarly cutting HBM capacity in next-gen ASICs.
