On August 25, 2026, during the Sovereign by Design — Mongolia's Green AI Data Centre Initiative at UNCCD COP17, NOVVA Group and Mongolia's Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Communications signed a memorandum of understanding focused on green data centres, renewable energy, and AI-ready digital infrastructure. The event was convened by the Government of Mongolia at the Host Country House and opened by Prime Minister H.E. N. Uchral, with Deputy Prime Minister H.E. T. Dorjkhand in attendance alongside the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank and other international partners. The agreement outlines Mongolia's ambition to establish itself as a premier green AI data centre hub among dryland economies.

The memorandum was executed by Vincent Wen, Managing Director of Novva, and H.E. Nomin Chinbat, Minister of MDDIC. Its provisions cover the development of energy-efficient data centres and AI-ready infrastructure, renewable energy generation and storage including solar photovoltaic arrays, wind power, and battery energy storage systems, site preparation, and ongoing policy consultation. Regarding the partnership, Vincent stated, Mongolia's renewable potential and forward-looking digital agenda create a strong foundation for clean-powered infrastructure to support the next generation of AI workloads. Novva is honoured to support MDDIC's Sovereign by Design vision.

This agreement follows a Building Mongolia's AI Future technical forum held on August 22, 2026, also during UNCCD COP17, which brought together Mongolian stakeholders to discuss opportunities for clean-powered digital infrastructure. The Mongolia engagement broadens Novva's existing international operations, which currently feature a 120 MWp solar project in the Philippines, a 37.8 MWac solar portfolio in Colombia, and an investment in battery technology company InoBat through Bromo Capital. Novva, formally known as NOVVA Group Pte. Ltd., operates as an AI-enabling clean energy infrastructure and asset management platform that integrates power, land, infrastructure, and capital to deliver reliable, scalable, and financeable solutions for AI infrastructure while generating shared value for local communities.
