SoleCrypt는 튀니지 비제르테에 조성 중인 데이터센터 캠퍼스의 계획 규모를 상향했으며, 베라 루빈 GPU를 탑재할 첫 7MW 단계는 2028년 초 가동될 예정이다.
SoleCrypt has expanded its planned data center in Tunisia and shared details on the project timeline.
The company announced plans for the SoleCrypt AI Campus in Bizerte last week. The first 7MW of the planned 40MW campus will be designed to host Nvidia's HGX Rubin NVL8 hardware. The first phase, designed to deploy 1,728 Nvidia Rubin GPUs, could go live in early 2028.
Full details have not been shared, but the project will reportedly be located approximately 3.6 km (2.23 miles) from the Medusa subsea cable landing site in Bizerte, connected via a routed fiber path.
SoleCrypt said the development is supported by a dedicated 60MW solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project spanning 100 hectares in Tozeur, some 525 km (326 miles) away.
Launched in 2022, SoleCrypt focuses on developing data centers powered by solar assets. The company previously outlined plans for a 20MW data center in Bizerte. Late last year, it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Safozi, a Tunisian cloud and data infrastructure provider.
The first phase of the Medusa cable, which links Marseille in France with Bizerte in Tunisia, went live earlier this year.
