TCS 자회사 HyperVault는 하이데라바드에 1GW 규모 AI 데이터센터 캠퍼스 건설을 계획하고 있다.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) subsidiary HyperVault has secured 264 acres of land in Hyderabad to develop an AI data centre campus with up to one gigawatt of capacity. The company plans to construct the facility in phases, scaling development according to customer demand and evolving technology requirements. Upon completion, HyperVault expects the site to become one of India’s largest and most advanced AI infrastructure campuses.

HyperVault and its partners intend to invest up to 700 billion rupees ($7.4 billion) in the project. The facility will equip frontier AI companies and hyperscalers with infrastructure purpose-built for AI training, inference, and high-density computing workloads. To support these intensive operations, the campus will incorporate green energy and water-neutral design principles, alongside liquid-cooled, high-density GPU deployments.

The development aims to reinforce Telangana’s standing as a hub for AI and digital infrastructure, while generating several thousand direct and indirect jobs. HyperVault also anticipates the project will catalyse growth across India’s broader AI infrastructure ecosystem, spanning power, cooling, networking, engineering, construction, and operations.

Separately, in July, Krithivasan told Reuters that TCS is assembling a team of forward-deployed engineers (FDEs) that could exceed 8,900 staff as the company accelerates customer AI adoption. It remains unclear whether the team will be built through new hires, internal reskilling, or a combination of both. FDEs embed themselves within client organisations to deploy and maintain organisation-specific AI tools, while sharing best practices and sectoral knowledge with client staff.
