Tata Consultancy Services subsidiary HyperVault has secured 264 acres in Hyderabad to develop a large-scale AI data center campus. The project targets a maximum capacity of 1GW with an investment of up to Rs 70,000 crore. Designed to serve frontier AI companies and hyperscalers, the campus will focus on high-density GPU deployments for model training and inference. Development will proceed in phases aligned with customer demand, positioning the fully built facility among India’s most advanced AI infrastructure campuses.

The facility will incorporate green energy sourcing and water-neutral design principles. Its infrastructure will feature liquid-cooled compute systems, including direct-to-chip cooling and high rack density configurations. This architecture supports larger power blocks and accelerated deployment cycles required by modern AI workloads.

K Krithivasan, CEO and managing director of TCS, stated that HyperVault advances the company’s Infrastructure-to-Intelligence strategy. He highlighted Hyderabad’s scale, talent, and ecosystem as key factors for serving global customers. Deepesh Kiran Nanda, CEO and managing director of HyperVault, noted the project’s focus on building infrastructure for higher density and liquid cooling. He emphasized that Hyderabad provides the necessary foundation for scaling operations tailored to frontier AI firms.

Telangana Chief Minister Shri A. Revanth Reddy described the initiative as historic for India, noting that access to AI models and compute is evolving into public infrastructure, which grants Telangana a strategic advantage. IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu confirmed that the agreement followed discussions between the Chief Minister and N. Chandrasekaran, chairman of Tata Sons, at Davos in January 2026. He cited the rapid execution of the project as a reflection of the state’s investment-friendly policies.
