Snowflake는 2030년까지 사우디아라비아에 3억 달러를 투자할 계획이다.
Snowflake, the US-based AI data cloud company, plans to invest $300 million in Saudi Arabia through 2030. The investment will expand its local cloud infrastructure and support the development of data and artificial intelligence skills.
The company is partnering with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology to train up to 25,000 people over five years through the One Million Minds programme. Training will be delivered both virtually and in person through Snowflake's learning platform, and participants will be able to work towards certifications and complete practical projects.
Snowflake will also offer mentorship and networking through the Saudi Arabia Data and AI Community. In addition, it will introduce Snowflake Academia to the Middle East for the first time, working with universities to incorporate current data and AI technologies into their curricula.
On the infrastructure side, Snowflake plans to launch two additional cloud regions in Saudi Arabia in the second half of 2026. These will add to its existing presence through Google Cloud's Dammam region. The company said the expansion will give customers more choice over their cloud environments and help organisations meet data residency and sovereignty requirements.
The investment comes as AI adoption among Saudi businesses continues to rise, increasing demand for secure access to enterprise data and for the skills needed to manage it. The plan forms part of Snowflake's wider expansion in the Kingdom as Saudi Arabia continues to develop its digital economy under Vision 2030.
