PowerSecure, a subsidiary of Southern Company, has entered into an agreement with Keel Infrastructure to provide a fully integrated backup resiliency solution for Keel Infrastructure's data center campus in Moses Lake, Washington. The project supports Keel Infrastructure's continued expansion into digital infrastructure development and reflects growing demand for reliable, scalable energy solutions in the sector.

Representatives from Keel Infrastructure recently toured PowerSecure's microgrid at its Durham campus to see firsthand the resilient energy solutions that support critical operations. The visit highlights the collaborative partnership between the organizations and their shared commitment to delivering innovative energy solutions.

Jim Smith, president of PowerSecure, stated that the project underscores PowerSecure's ability to deliver flexible, resilient energy solutions with speed and precision. By combining technical expertise with a highly collaborative approach, the team developed a tailored solution that meets Keel's immediate needs while positioning them for future growth.

Alex Brammer, Executive Vice President of Operations at Keel Infrastructure, emphasized that reliable power is the foundation of everything they build. The solution gives their Moses Lake campus the resiliency and operational continuity their customers depend on at a time when firm power solutions are increasingly critical. PowerSecure's solution is aligned with their approach to responsible development, allowing them to meet customers' stringent availability requirements while minimizing impact on grid infrastructure and the environment.

Under the agreement, PowerSecure will design and deliver a customized standby power solution tailored to the Moses Lake campus to ensure operational continuity and long-term flexibility as the site grows. The solution uses PowerBlocks, modular integrated power generation systems that combine onsite generation, controls and electrical infrastructure to provide reliable backup and resilient energy for mission-critical facilities. The flexible architecture supports future capacity needs as the campus expands. In addition to providing reliable backup power, the solution enables peak shaving to help optimize energy use during periods of high system load.

PowerSecure and Keel Infrastructure established the partnership earlier this year, aligning quickly on system requirements and delivery timelines. PowerSecure deployed an integrated engineering and project delivery team to design and implement the solution, ensuring reliable performance and streamlined execution. The Moses Lake project reinforces PowerSecure's position as a trusted partner for mission-critical infrastructure and highlights its ability to support the rapidly evolving needs of the data center industry.
