TSMC's August 2026 revenue performance reflects strong momentum in semiconductor demand. The company generated NT$514.81 billion in consolidated net revenue for August 2026, representing 10.1 percent growth from the prior month's NT$467.58 billion and 53.3 percent growth compared to August 2025's NT$335.77 billion. For the full January-through-August period in 2026, net revenue totaled NT$3,386.87 billion, demonstrating 39.3 percent year-over-year growth over the same eight-month period in 2025 when revenue was NT$2,431.98 billion.

The company maintains an active program of intercompany lending to support subsidiary operations. TSMC Development (the lending entity) holds a board-approved lending limit of NT$34.352 billion. As of August 2026, the company had approved NT$3.797 billion to its wholly-owned subsidiary TSMC Washington, with an outstanding balance of NT$2.848 billion remaining.

TSMC has issued substantial guarantees to its subsidiaries to support their financing and operational needs. The company provided a guarantee of NT$2.633 billion to TSMC North America, a wholly-owned subsidiary. TSMC Global, also wholly-owned, has an outstanding guarantee of NT$170.872 billion. Most significantly, TSMC Arizona, the company's U.S. manufacturing expansion subsidiary, has an outstanding guaranteed amount of NT$346.949 billion, reflecting the substantial capital commitment to its Arizona fabrication facility expansion.

The company actively manages financial exposure through forward currency contracts and margin transactions. TSMC maintains separate forward contracts for its China operations (outstanding notional NT$893.620 million) and Nanjing facility (outstanding notional NT$2.266 billion). The company also applies hedge accounting to TSMC Global's derivatives, with an outstanding notional amount of NT$253.144 billion and cumulative unrealized profit of NT$2.347 billion under hedging treatment. These financial instruments do not involve equity price linkages and are used for operational currency and margin management.
