엔비디아의 Anthropic 투자는 약 1,000억 달러 규모의 IPO 기업가치를 목표로 하는 회사를 지원한다.
Nvidia is in advanced talks to invest up to $10 billion in Anthropic as the AI company prepares for a landmark IPO, according to Reuters citing two sources familiar with the negotiations. Anthropic is targeting a $100 billion raise that would value the company at approximately $2 trillion, potentially making it the largest initial public offering in history.
Under the structure being discussed, Nvidia would serve as an anchor investor—a major institutional buyer who commits to purchasing shares before the public offering launches. Such anchors are particularly valuable for IPOs of this scale, providing stability and confidence to subsequent public investors.
The investment reflects and strengthens an existing relationship between the two companies. Anthropic relies heavily on Nvidia's graphics processors to power Claude, its flagship AI model. In November 2025, Nvidia had already announced a $10 billion commitment to Anthropic, with the arrangement including Anthropic purchasing $30 billion in computing capacity from Microsoft Azure equipped with Nvidia processors. Neither company has commented on the current investment discussions.
Anthropic's computing needs extend beyond Nvidia. In April, the company committed to spending over $100 billion with Amazon Web Services over ten years, securing access to more than one million of Amazon's Trainium2 chips. Google and Broadcom have also partnered with Anthropic to expand TPU capacity by multiple gigawatts. Looking further ahead, Anthropic is building an internal chip development team to reduce its dependence on external hardware manufacturers and create processors specifically optimized for Claude.
The IPO comes as Anthropic's valuation has surged dramatically. In May 2026, a funding round valued the company at $965 billion on a post-money basis with $65 billion raised. Revenues have grown at an extraordinary pace as enterprises and developers rapidly adopt Claude. By July 2026, Anthropic's annualized revenue run rate had exceeded $65 billion, compared to roughly $9 billion in December 2025. The company projects revenues of $190 billion to $200 billion by 2028, rationale supporting its current valuation target.
The IPO is planned before November 2026, though an exact date remains undetermined. Nvidia's anchor commitment would serve as an early validation of Anthropic's valuation and growth prospects, potentially setting a significant benchmark for how public markets will value frontier AI companies.
