Nvidia Reportedly Nears $14B Hugging Face Deal as Infrastructure Ambitions Widen

A reported bid for Hugging Face would extend Nvidia's hardware dominance into the open-source software layer, as the company simultaneously orchestrates financing, interconnect, and inference partnerships across the AI supply chain.

Nvidia is reportedly in advanced talks to acquire Hugging Face, the dominant open-source AI model repository and developer platform, for approximately $14 billion — a deal that, if confirmed, would represent the most consequential strategic pivot since Jensen Huang repositioned the company around CUDA in the mid-2000s.
