A similar structure is visible in a separate deal with bitcoin-mining-turned-AI-cloud operator IREN, which announced a five-year, $3.4 billion contract accompanied by $2.1 billion in warrants — effectively aligning IREN's hardware choices with Nvidia's long-term interests. Goldman Sachs is separately reported to be providing compute financing for both Nvidia and Intel, a sign that Wall Street is formalizing what until recently was ad-hoc vendor financing. H200 units are trickling into China — ByteDance and Tencent reportedly received initial shipments — but most licensed chips must remain in Hong Kong due to mainland power infrastructure constraints, while Washington is simultaneously closing the third-party-jurisdiction loophole that enabled some prior chip flows. Analysts project that domestic accelerators from Huawei and Cambricon will capture roughly 90% of the Chinese market regardless. The discovery of Nvidia Jetson modules inside Russian S-71 missiles and Su-57 weaponry, confirmed by Ukrainian officials, adds a dual-use dimension that could sharpen regulatory scrutiny on edge AI hardware.
