GPU cloud provider Boost Run secured a $525.6 million contract to supply dedicated GPU computing infrastructure to LLM/AI company Cohere.

Validates the GPU-cloud-as-a-service business model; major AI software company choosing third-party compute infrastructure over self-building signals strong demand for outsourced GPU capacity, reinforcing CoreWeave/IREN/Boost Run competitive positioning.

AI cloud provider Boost Run has secured a $525.6 million cloud contract with Cohere. Under the agreement, Cohere will lease access to Boost Run's dedicated GPU cloud computing infrastructure and related services, with individual racks leased for approximately five years. A portion of the contract value is prepayable.

Cohere is expected to begin "accepting" the infrastructure in the second quarter of 2027, at which point the contract term will commence. If Boost Run has not provided a minimum amount of infrastructure by July 15, 2027, Cohere may terminate the agreement and receive a refund of all prepaid amounts. The specific data centers to be utilized have not been disclosed.

Boost Run, founded in 2024, "owns and operates bare-metal GPU servers within top-tier data centers used to run AI and HPC workloads," according to an SEC filing. As of the end of 2025, the company operated from four TierPoint data centers in the United States: Seattle, Washington; Durham, North Carolina; Dallas, Texas; and Richardson, Texas. The company announced plans to add 16MW of capacity through its TierPoint partnership, with expansions planned for Charlotte, North Carolina; St. Louis, Missouri; and Breinigsville, Pennsylvania.

According to Boost Run's most recent 10-Q filing, the company entered into four colocation leases in the six months ending June 30, 2026—two in Q1 with terms of three and seven years respectively, and two in Q2, both with three-year terms. The filing does not specify whether these leases are exclusively with TierPoint. The company now lists data center locations in Rock Island, Illinois; Charlotte, North Carolina; Minneapolis, Minnesota; and Marietta, Georgia. During Q2 2026, total colocation lease costs reached $10.56 million, a year-over-year increase of 576 percent. The company reported revenues of $31.14 million for the quarter, compared to $8.423 million in the prior year, with an operating loss of $12.9 million.

Cohere, a Canadian AI startup, has previously signed a $220 million cloud agreement with Buzz HPC for capacity at its Merritt, British Columbia, data center. The company is a known user of AMD GPUs, having signed an agreement to use AMD's Instinct GPUs in September 2025.
