Al Yamama Infrastructure secures the engineering-procurement-construction contract for Humain's 6-gigawatt AI data-center campus in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Al Yamama Company for Trading & Contracting has secured the contract to build the infrastructure for Humain's planned 6-GW data center campus in Riyadh. The Dammam-based contractor will handle enabling works for the PIF-owned AI firm's hyperscale site, which was tendered in May.

Al Yamama's scope encompasses the full infrastructure backbone: a power distribution network operating at 380 kV, 132 kV, and 33 kV; two substations rated at 500 MVA and 200 MVA; and a 2 GW MVA bulk supply point. The work also includes water and fire systems, a sewage treatment plant, stormwater drainage, roads, and underground cable and fiber installations. Humain is executing the project on an early contractor involvement basis, where shortlisted teams pitch designs and methodologies before one is selected to build.

The campus will occupy a 24-square-kilometer site in east Riyadh's Al Saad area, developed in two phases across six plots, each rated at 1 GW capacity.

A 6-GW AI campus requires power infrastructure fundamentally different from conventional data center deployments, with dedicated high-voltage networks and substations to support the load. This award advances Humain's infrastructure development into active construction, with a Saudi contractor leading the execution.

The Al Saad campus represents the largest of several Humain projects now in development. At Neom's Oxagon, Humain and DataVolt have broken ground on the first 100 MW of a 360 MW facility, the opening phase of a planned 1.5 GW campus scheduled to start operations in 2028. A separate build with AMD and Cisco is scaling toward 1 GW by 2030, while another Riyadh project awarded to contractor MIS is growing to 250 MW.

The award reflects Humain's rapid expansion. At Leap 2026, the AI firm anchored more than USD 15 billion in launches and agreements, positioning itself across the infrastructure stack from power and data centers to models and hardware.
