Bitdeer Technologies Group has secured a 10-year AI cloud agreement in Malaysia expected to generate approximately $1.1 billion in annual revenue, with a total contract value of around $6 billion over its lifetime. This agreement adds to the company's AI cloud pipeline, which already exceeds $7 billion across multiple contracts.

Bitdeer's AI infrastructure buildout spans multiple locations in Malaysia, with campuses established in both Johor and Cyberjaya. The centerpiece is a 9.5MW A102 data center that is fully committed and projected to generate more than $800 million in revenue over five years. Within the A102 campus, Bitdeer has secured a five-year contract valued at approximately $400 million, covering roughly 50% of the facility's capacity, with deployment beginning in Q1 2027.

Additionally, the company signed a 10-year lease for 21.7MW of AI cloud capacity in Johor Bahru. This facility will house 128 NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 systems. Bitdeer has also received designation as a preferred NVIDIA Cloud Partner.

Bitdeer, listed on Nasdaq under ticker BTDR, was founded by Jihan Wu, former CEO of Bitmain, and originated as a Bitcoin mining operation. The company is now pursuing a hybrid model that maintains its mining presence while establishing Bitdeer AI as a dedicated division focused on cloud infrastructure. The company has set a target to reach up to 350MW of global AI cloud capacity by Q1 2028, with Malaysian facilities expected to represent a substantial portion of this expansion.

Malaysia has become an increasingly attractive location for data center operators serving the Asia-Pacific region. Johor's proximity to Singapore—situated just across the border—provides tenants with low-latency access while avoiding Singapore's substantially higher real estate costs.
