TopHat Security has secured Series A funding led by Landolt Securities to expand its enterprise cybersecurity portfolio,
TopHat Security, Inc., a provider of purpose-built cybersecurity solutions for operational technology, critical infrastructure, government, and artificial intelligence environments, announced today that it has closed a Series A financing round led by Landolt Securities, Inc., which also served as the placement agent. The capital will be used to advance the company’s enterprise product portfolio, expand customer delivery capabilities, and meet key growth milestones while addressing next-generation threats targeting U.S. government agencies and critical infrastructure operators.
The company’s flagship offering is O-RANGE, an operational technology range and emulation platform designed to integrate with existing OT security tools. O-RANGE enables organizations to build high-fidelity digital twins of plants, industrial systems, and other OT environments, capturing assets, network relationships, firmware, software, control systems, and physical processes. Within this secure virtual space, security teams can model attack paths, investigate vulnerabilities, rehearse cyber kill chains, evaluate proposed fixes, and test facility resilience without introducing risk to live production systems. By ingesting data from current OT security and asset-visibility solutions, the platform helps organizations move past static vulnerability lists. Teams can assess the operational impact of security decisions, identify compensating controls, validate remediation strategies, and prioritize actions according to safety, security, cost, and operational impact.
Matt Caldwell, Founder and CEO of TopHat Security, addressed the industry challenge and the company’s vision. He stated, Critical infrastructure organizations are receiving more vulnerability information than ever, but they often lack a safe and practical way to understand what those vulnerabilities mean to their actual operations. O-RANGE gives teams a realistic environment in which they can test an investigation, remediation, or attack scenario before making changes to a live facility. With this Series A investment and the support of our investors at Landolt Securities, we are confident that TopHat Security can reach the milestones ahead of us, scale our delivery, and help protect the government and critical infrastructure systems on which our country depends.
Don McKiernan, Principal at Landolt Securities, expressed strong confidence in the partnership. He noted, We are firm believers in the direction TopHat Security is taking. Protecting government systems and critical infrastructure—and securing the AI infrastructure that will increasingly support them—is paramount to national security. We have been impressed by the technology, intellectual property, and speed of execution TopHat Security has demonstrated, as well as the company's ability to translate that innovation into practical capabilities for its customers. We are proud to lead this Series A investment and support the company through its next stage of growth.
Beyond O-RANGE, TopHat Security offers a broader suite of capabilities including OT and industrial network visibility, asset discovery, cyber supply-chain security, and AI infrastructure protection. These tools work together to help organizations map their systems, contextualize risks, safely simulate cyber and operational scenarios, and enhance resilience against emerging threats.
In recent industry recognition, TopHat Security earned Best in Show honors at DEF CON 34, held August 6 through 9, 2026, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. During the event, Caldwell delivered a presentation titled Five Million Industrial Control Systems Walk Into a Bar: What IRONMAP Found When It Scanned the Whole Internet on Sunday, August 9, at the ICS Village Creator Stage.
TopHat Security continues to develop specialized cybersecurity technologies for operational technology, industrial control systems, cyber supply chains, artificial intelligence infrastructure, and government environments. Its solutions enable organizations to discover assets, comprehend vulnerabilities, safely test cyber and operational scenarios, and strengthen system resilience without disrupting mission-critical operations.
