Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, August 20, 2026 — Unisys and Refroid Technologies have announced a strategic partnership designed to help organizations build, deploy, and maintain the high-performance computing infrastructure required for artificial intelligence workloads. As AI adoption accelerates, data centers face increasing demands for energy-intensive and complex computing environments. The collaboration merges Refroid's liquid cooling innovations with Unisys' global field services and delivery capabilities, allowing enterprises to maximize the performance and return on their AI infrastructure investments.

Organizations are rapidly realizing that physical infrastructure is just as critical as software models for long-term AI success. According to Gartner, worldwide AI spending is projected to reach $2.59 trillion in 2026, with AI infrastructure comprising more than $1.4 trillion of that total. This partnership directly addresses these scaling challenges by strengthening the foundational technologies and support services needed for enterprise AI growth.

Refroid contributes specialized thermal management technologies, including direct-to-chip cooling, immersion cooling, coolant distribution units, and hybrid load-bank technologies tailored for high-density computing. Unisys supports these hardware solutions with comprehensive field services such as deployment, commissioning, validation, technical workforce training, and AI-driven service management and lifecycle support delivered through its Digital Workplace Solutions division.

Patrycja Sobera, senior vice president and general manager, Digital Workplace Solutions, Unisys, stated, AI is creating new infrastructure demands that extend well beyond the data center itself. Organizations need trusted providers with expertise that bridges the gap between technology innovation and real-world execution as they invest in AI. This collaboration reflects our continued evolution to meet emerging client needs and support the infrastructure powering the future of AI.

Satya Bhavaraju, CEO, Refroid Technologies, emphasized, The bottleneck in AI infrastructure is no longer silicon, it is the skilled expertise required to deploy the cooling that silicon demands. Partnering with Unisys gives our technology a global services backbone from day one — certified technicians who can install, commission and maintain our systems to Original Equipment Manufacturer standards, supporting AI infrastructure deployments worldwide.

Refroid Technologies is an India-based company specializing in advanced thermal management and infrastructure solutions for next-generation high-performance computing and AI. Unisys is a global technology solutions provider offering cloud, AI, digital workplace, applications, and enterprise computing services to help leading organizations unlock their potential. Both companies continue to expand their collaborative efforts to deliver scalable, efficient, and reliable AI infrastructure globally.
