Stack has filed plans for a second building at its Lancaster campus in Texas, with work targeted to start in March.
An affiliate linked to Stack Infrastructure has filed an application for a new data center outside Dallas, Texas.
An application was filed this month with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation for DFW02B. Located at 1130 E. Belt Line Road in Lancaster, Dallas County, the two-story building is described as a 350,045 sq ft (32,520 sqm) data center and office. Construction on the $540 million project is set to run from March 2027 until December 2028.
The application was filed by SI DFW02CAMPUS LLC, an affiliate that shares an address with Stack. The company first announced plans for a campus in Lancaster in April 2024. A Stack sales brochure describes its DFW02 project as a 500MW campus in South Dallas spanning 193 acres. The site could total five buildings, with DFW02B offering 54MW, for a combined 1.76 million sq ft (163,509 sqm) and an on-site substation.
Stack filed for DFW02A at 1000 E Beltline Road in January 2025. Construction on that 360,030 sq ft (33,448 sqm), two-story building is set to be completed in March 2027, with follow-up works due to be completed in March 2028.
Stack's DFW1 campus is located in Plano and could total 80MW across three buildings. QTS and Skybox also have projects in Lancaster.
PowerHouse has revealed more details about the first building at its new campus outside Fort Worth, Texas.
The company, via Circle T Owner LP, has filed with the TDLR for the DAL130 data center at the Circle T Ranch campus at 13572 N. Main Street in Westlake, Tarrant County. Construction on the 224,150 sq ft (20,824 sqm) data center is due to start in December 2026, with completion targeted for June 2027. Some $83 million is set to be invested in the works.
News that AREP-owned PowerHouse was looking to develop on the site (also known as 13580 Denton Highway) surfaced in August. Up to four buildings are reportedly planned, totaling 300MW.
"The Circle T Ranch project remains in the planning and review process. The referenced filings are part of ongoing development planning, and any construction activity remains subject to applicable approvals and regulatory requirements," PowerHouse told the Dallas Morning News.
Founded in 2022, PowerHouse has data center projects in operation and development across Virginia, Texas, North Carolina, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Nevada, and Pennsylvania. A division of American Real Estate Partners (AREP), PowerHouse says its portfolio and pipeline totals more than 8GW of capacity. Investment giant Brookfield recently took a minority stake in AREP.
PowerHouse has a sizable existing presence in Texas. In March, it topped out a 201MW data center in Irving, Dallas, and it is currently developing a 768-acre campus with Provident Data Centers just south of Dallas in Ellis County. The firm also looks set to develop on Tract-owned land outside Austin, and recently secured approval for a new behind-the-meter data center project outside Austin.
