Firebird presents a $500M data center development plan to U.S. government officials.

U.S. company Firebird has announced plans to establish a 100 MW artificial intelligence data center in Armenia following a meeting with U.S. Ambassador to Armenia Kristina Kvien. The initiative represents what the U.S. Embassy described as an innovative partnership between Armenia and the United States, intended to boost bilateral economic ties and reinforce Armenia's leadership in the region's tech sector. The U.S. Embassy stated that "the prospect of Armenian-American cooperation and mutual growth is truly exciting."

The project comes after Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Firebird co-founder and CEO Razmik Hovaghimian, NVIDIA Vice President Rev Lebaredian, and Team Telecom Armenia co-founder and board chairman Aleksandr Yesayan. Following months of joint preparatory work with the Armenian government and NVIDIA, Firebird is now launching the initiative, which is expected to transform the region's tech landscape.

The $500 million investment will include thousands of NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs and infrastructure with a capacity exceeding 100 megawatts. The launch is planned for 2026.
