OpenAI는 전력 및 전력망 증설을 포함한 전국 단위 지역사회 협약을 발표했다.
OpenAI has announced its National Community Compact, a set of commitments governing how it will build future AI data centers across the United States. The company pledges to pay for all electricity and grid upgrades required by its facilities, to be transparent about their environmental impacts, and to avoid secret deals with public officials. In short, OpenAI says it wants to keep its operations open and community-friendly.
Alongside the compact, OpenAI's Compute Campus Policy Blueprint calls on governments to ensure that developers pay their fair share for infrastructure and to be candid about tax breaks.
The company also plans to use water-saving cooling systems, share information about its energy use, and create local jobs by working with unions and offering job training.
The announcements are part of OpenAI's effort to grow responsibly following recent public pushback against data center expansions.
