HyperDC plans a 400MW data center campus outside Geelong, Australia, near existing substation and battery energy storage system.

HyperDC Pty Ltd has filed a planning permit application with the Victorian government for a data center development in Moorabool, on 715 Ballan Road in Geelong, approximately 75km (47 miles) west of Melbourne. The company describes itself as a data center developer, though limited public information is available about its operations.

The proposed MBL1 campus would occupy 39 hectares and is designed to deliver 400MW of IT capacity, though the company has not disclosed further details about the timeline or phasing of the development.

Gerard Adamsons is listed as a director of HyperDC on LinkedIn. He previously held a position at Australian residential developer Villawood Properties.

The site's location places it in proximity to significant existing infrastructure. The Victorian Big Battery, a 300MW facility built by HMC Capital-backed Illuma and equipped with 210 Tesla Megapacks, operates nearby. AusNet Services' Moorabool Terminal Station is also located in the area.
