OpenAI has deployed GPT-6 Astra to Pro, Enterprise, and Business Premium tiers, delivering message allowances at half the throughput of GPT-5.6 Sol.
OpenAI has made GPT-6 Astra available to all ChatGPT users on Pro, Enterprise, and Business Premium plans through ChatGPT Work and Codex. The new model is also accessible via the OpenAI API, Microsoft Azure, and AWS Bedrock. Access for Plus and Business users will roll out in the coming days. Subscribers on Pro, Business, and Enterprise tiers additionally receive GPT-6 Astra Pro, a more capable variant of the model. Usage of Astra Pro counts against existing subscription quotas.
Under the $200 Pro plan, users receive 200 weekly messages for GPT-6 Pro. For GPT-5.6 Sol Pro, the plan allocates a separate allowance of 170 messages per day, though combined usage across both models remains capped at 200 messages daily. The $100 Pro plan provides a single shared allowance of 50 messages per week across GPT-6 Pro and GPT-5.6 Sol Pro. Business Premium users receive 50 shared messages per week, while Business Standard users are limited to 15 shared messages per month.
Across all plans, the standard version of GPT-6 Astra delivers approximately half the message volume per five-hour window compared to GPT-5.6 Sol. Specifically, Plus users can send an estimated 5 to 45 local messages with Astra, versus 10 to 100 with Sol. On the Pro 20x tier, allowances range from 100 to 900 messages for Astra, compared to 200 to 2,000 for Sol. The complete breakdown by plan and model is as follows: Plus users receive 5–45 messages for GPT-6 Astra, 10–100 for GPT-5.6 Sol, 25–200 for GPT-5.6 Terra, 250–2,000 for GPT-5.6 Luna, and 15–80 for GPT-5.5. Pro 5x users receive 25–225 for Astra, 50–500 for Sol, 125–1,000 for Terra, 1,250–10,000 for Luna, and 75–400 for GPT-5.5. Pro 20x users receive 100–900 for Astra, 200–2,000 for Sol, 500–4,000 for Terra, 5,000–40,000 for Luna, and 300–1,600 for GPT-5.5. Standard Business users mirror the Plus tier allocations.
OpenAI notes that actual message consumption varies based on model selection, context length, reasoning depth, tool utilization, and caching efficiency. Users on the Free and Go tiers do not have access to frontier models such as GPT-5.6 Sol and GPT-6 Astra.
