Nvidia is the mystery tenant behind Hut 8's $50bn Texas data centre, FT reports

The Financial Times reports that Nvidia is the unnamed tenant behind Hut 8’s $50 billion Beacon Point data centre project in Texas, though neither party has officially confirmed the arrangement. The deal involves two 15-year leases for a total of 704 megawatts of capacity, with an initial contracted value of $19.6 billion and potential maximum revenue of $50.2 billion if all renewal options are exercised. Hut 8 plans to energize the site in early 2027, utilizing infrastructure built to Nvidia’s DSX reference architecture.
